Avoca Lodge is nestled in a quiet and rural part of Benoni
situated 13 km's away from OR Tambo Airport (previously known as
Johannesburg International Airport). The owner Michelle Smith has
created a contemporary African ambience in a tranquil country
setting, which will delight and surprise one, while the fabulous
home made fare will ensure one's stay is remembered long after
departure.
Mandy and Sebastian are the wonderful, hospitable hosts who
run Avoca Lodge. They live on the property and in this way overseas
visitors will experience the uniqueness of sharing a day in the
life of a South African household.
Avoca Lodge is situated 1 km away from Kopanong Hotel &
Conference Center. Close in the vicinity is, Grasslands Driving
range, Homestead Dam, Bullfrog pan (largest in the Southern
Hemisphere), Gym facilities and a number of Shopping Malls complete
with cinemas. Emperors Palace Casino is a mere 15 kms away. Benoni
Country Golf Club and Lake Country Golf Club. We are a phone call
away from our local wellness center ensuring that you can have
those pampered moments when needed most.

- There are two double rooms, both with en suite bathroom /
showers.
- They have their own private entrance; ensuring guests can come
and go as they please.
- Each room has their own Television and Fridge along with a
complimentary Tea, Coffee & home made biscuits.
- The Fridges are stocked with Beer, Fizzy drinks, Fruit juice
and bottled water.
- Specialized Wine / Champagne can be placed in rooms on
request.
- The Courtyard Room has a Double bed with en-suite shower.

Additionally, there is the newly built Cottage. This is a fully
furnished 2 bed roomed apartment comprising of The "Lilly Room"
(Queen Bed), upstairs The "Studio" Room (2 x ¾ Beds). The Cottage
also consists of a lounge, dinning area, kitchen and bathroom /
shower. The Cottage is ideal for Business colleagues, families
requiring self-catering and Honeymooners. In fact, Avoca Lodge is a
photographers dream when it comes to taking those pre wedding
photos.
Guests can enjoy free wireless access and are welcome to utilize
the swimming pool and veranda area. The Lodge provides secure
undercover parking and airport transfers are available.
House breakfast is served daily and guests can choose from 3
delightful venues. Enjoy your fruit salad and yogurt on the patio
overlooking the neighboring horses, ostriches and guinea fowl. Or
take your Eggs, bacon, sausages and tomato (infused with home grown
Rosemary) into the French courtyard or if you feel like it stay in
and enjoy all the above including toast, home made jam and tea or
coffee in your room.
Evening meals are served on request at a reasonable rate and we
strive to accommodate individual requirements as much as possible.
Should you have any specific dietary requirements we would
appreciate your home and trusted recipes.
If you need to exert some energy after lazing around in the
hammock by the pool, meander or jog down the road to Koi Mecca
which has a Silver Smith shop on site. Their unique products are
made from silver, which comes from South America. Across the road
from Koi Mecca is Capricorn Stables where one could book an outing
on horseback.
