When you first arrive at Le Chateau, you are overwhelmed by the
warm and friendly greeting from one of the hosts, Jeanné' or Marius
Marais, who will escort you to your exclusive room where sherry and
snack await you. This perhaps for you, the weary traveler or hard
worked executive. The motto here is always "feel free to be at
home".
Le Chateau is beautifully set in a tranquil garden. Three
grand old oak trees of ±60 years are found majestically overlooking
the beautiful garden. The atmosphere is filled with the sound of
refreshing water fountains. In this garden with its
traditional "Old slave bell" more than 120 garden weddings
have been taken place. A world renowned ornithologist has
identified 48 different species of birds. In a secluded spot
of this unique garden is found an exciting honeymoon suite.
The mother of the house, Jeanné' prefers warm hearty
meals. You can get a "Home Cooked Meal" an Italian
cuisine, Halaal or Vegetarian dishes. Her talents in interior
decoration are also evident in every part of the homely
establishment. Here you will always find friendly and
available, hands-on service from the cleaners to the owners with a
relaxed ambiance of professionalism.
When revisiting Gauteng international and local
travelers/businessmen insist on returning to there safe
"Home away from Home", namely Le Chateau. So
conveniently close to the Oliver Tambo International Airport, our
guests are promptly collected and shuttled by a comfortable 9
seater vehicle.
Amongst the many offerings are facilities for weddings, general
functions, conferences and other parties. There are even
church services on Sundays for the convenience of travelers.
It is also an ideal break away for visiting Johannesburg and sight
seeing trips. There are 11 En-suite rooms, 1 Family room and
2 Budget rooms with private bath rooms. All the rooms are
air-conditioned. Next to the dining room is the
"Honesty bar" where one can enjoy a relaxing evening drink
as they unwind from a day's business.
